Jan. 27, 2010 - Dear friends, please spread the word that Christafari is currently
receiving video auditions for our keyboardist position. Please spread
the word through MySpace, FaceBook, Twitter, to your local worship
leaders, Christian Schools, music departments and every Christian
musician that you know.
Our present Keyboardist Jezza, who has played with us for the last
few years has recently performed his final show with the group. Jezza
will be sorely missed. We fully support him in his decision to come off
the road in order to be a full-time caretaker for his ailing
grandmother.
All applicants must be living in, or willing to relocate to
Southern California, have an extremely flexible schedule and be able to
do extensive touring. We typically visit as many as 20 countries per
year. Each applicant must be a legal United States resident and able to
travel in and out of the US without hindrance.
He or she must be a born again Christian, and a professional
musician with a servant attitude. Reggae, jazz, black gospel, and
ministry experience are a plus! We are looking for a broad range of
ethnicities in our applicants.
Auditions will be received via video posts on YouTube. All submissions must be posted on YouTube by February 15th, 2010.
Only one video audition may be submitted per applicant.
For the recording please take a minute to introduce yourself and tell us where you live and why we should choose you.
Then record yourself playing the first 2 minutes of Christafari's
"Whosoever" AND the second half of the song "Most High" (starting from
2 minutes into the track. Both songs are from the album "No Compromise"
and are currently available for download on http://www.gospelreggae.com and iTunes.
Please have the volume of your keyboards louder than the music so that
we can hear your playing. Also, since we only use one keyboardist on
the road, try and play as many parts at once as possible (piano, organ
and synthesizer parts). It will probably be necessary to use two
keyboards for this.
Make sure that you also include a way that we can get in touch with you (Phone Number, e-mail, FaceBook or MySpace.
Note: When you post the video on YouTube DO NOT put "Christafari in
the description or title. Please include your name in the title and the
following word as is: CHRAUDITION
The band will watch all auditions on February 15th by searching for
"CHRAUDITION" on YouTube. We look forward to seeing your videos soon!
Please do not take down your videos until March 1st.
Blessings in Christ,
Christafari
