Your account was not charged for $4.95 but a hold was placed on your card for $4.95. You card will only be charged for the amount of songs that you actually purchased.
If you purchase a single song (single MP3 file), your card may be initially authorized for as much as $4.95. If by the end of a pre-determined time interval, you have not purchased more than $4.95 worth of media, then you will be charged for the amount that you DID purchase, and the difference will be released back to your credit card. We will NOT charge you for more than you agree to purchase. If you only download two MP3 files, then you will be initially authorized for $4.95, but will only be charged $1.98.
If you choose to purchase a full album download: Your card will not be pre-authorized, but will charged immediately for the price of the album download.
When purchasing single files, your credit card will be charged every time you purchase a pre-determined amount or at a timed interval that we have pre-selected, whichever comes first. If a transaction is declined, then you will be temporarily locked out of your library. You will not be able to access your files again, until you update your credit card info and unlock your account. The process of unlocking your account will charge your new card for the amount that was previously declined. However, if your card is declined too many times, then your account may be closed and, at our own discretion, you might be permanently prevented from creating a new account in the future.
I hope this makes this clear. Any further questions please let me know.
