Wayne Bacchus a.k.a Zaccheus and family is from South America, Guyana lived in Brooklyn and now resides with his wife Hilde on Staten Island N.Y. Wayne was inspired by calypso superstars like Arrow, Mighty Sparrow, Kitchener & Super Blue. His reggae inspirations are Bob Marley, Yellowman, Garnet Silk, Luciano, Sizzla, Wayne Wonder and soca artists Rupee & KMC. His love for Caribbean music has grown since he was a youth whether it was soca or reggae. What initially inspired him to pursue a writing and recording career in music was when he entered a contest during his high school years. The contest required him to imitate any artist of his choice, so "Z" and his friend John chose to perform a rendition of old school rap artist "Daddy O" & reggae band" Third world's "forbidden--They came in first place!

In 1992 Zaccheus became a born again Christian and joined an local Christian rap group called Temporary Natives. "Z" was the only reggae artist in the group Where he acquired the name Zaccheus. His first recording was in Jam Down Studios in 1994 and in 1995 was introduced to Dainjamentalz with whome he recorded 130 songs. Zaccheus is now on an independent record label out of Franklin, Tennessee called Indevo Records (Indevorecords.com).
