Introducing VIZION, the present evolution of a group over 12 years into its musical journey. Formerly known as the ‘Visioneerz’, the group originates from the beautiful Caribbean island of Dominica; an island known for its natural beauty, as well as a rich and culturally diverse heritage which often shows through Vizion’s music. The group maintains a spiritual lyrical content with uncompromising styles of Caribbean rhythms.
Now, a short four years after relocating to the United States, Vizion presents the newest product from their labor of love, “Deep Within�, their phenomenal self-written and produced CD. This project is their first U.S./International release. ‘Deep Within’ is truly one form of the group realizing its goal of taking its music and ministry to a higher level. The collection reflects a maturity of both faith and talent that places the album among the very best in the genre of gospel reggae.
Vizion opted for a solidly reggae album in favor of its characteristically more eclectic previous projects and live set of a sizzling repertoire of reggae, zouk, soca, calypso and cadence-lypso. The album also features a great appearance by internationally renowned gospel artist, Candi Staton (courtesy Beracah Records), who teamed up with bandleader Frederick Alphonse. Their duet on the song ‘Balm in Gilead’ is sure to evoke some relaxed feelings of inner peace whilst presenting hope for the unsure and unsettled. Deep Within was recorded and mixed at the Cave Studios in Atlanta Georgia, by Marcus Williams, engineer and accomplished studio / touring drummer. He is also CEO of Urban Drummer Magazine.
The five piece team consists of, Frederick ‘Mystikhal’ Alphonse – Lead Vocals / Leader, Edmund ‘Eddie’ Angol – Bass / Writer / Producer, Juhanis ‘Rhythm Daddy’ Darroux – Drums / Vocals / Writer / Producer, Dorsette Lewis – Keyboards & Synthesizers & Kachia Darroux – Vocals. The musical tapestry that they weave both on and off the stage will not only entertain and satisfy listeners musically, but ultimately inspire and draw many to almighty God, in whom we forever “live, move and have our being� (Acts 17:28).
The formation of their recording and production company,The Vizion Team LLC (created in 2007), is a step for greater things. They are looking forward to a future built on Christ, who strengthens hope and love, which renews faith and births a fresh VIZION.
