Official Bio
Dwight Piper was born and raised in the enchanting South-eastern village of La Plaine, Dominica May 8, 1978. His early days were spent in the La Plaine Pentecostal church where he developed a love for God and the singing ministry. Even as little boy, Dwight preached to trees and sang with the birds and flowers. It was as though Dwight’s melodious and captivating voice would draw the attention of any living thing that heard it. His talented hands were used to create drums out of tin and plastic cans. Individuals marveled at the passion and fervor of the young, vibrant rising star. His life was molded to pattern that of his Creator, Jesus Christ, from the countless Sundays spent in Sunday school. It was there that his love for God was birthed. At high school he received introductory training in the use of musical instruments such as the drums and flute.
Driven by the call of God on his life and his deep love and passion for the music ministry, at age thirteen, Dwight was one of the founding members of a gospel youth band, Survivors, at his local church. A songwriter, a lead vocalist, as well as a drummer, Dwight found his niche in the Survivors. Destined to achieve higher heights in Christ, he later became part of another gospel youth band, the New Creatures. This group embraced Dwight’s songwriting skills, as well as his percussion talent.
Musical choruses prevailed wherever Dwight was present and although his music ministry appeared to be off the ground, God had greater plans for him. Thus, at age nineteen he migrated to the United States of America. Undaunted by his new home, Dwight’s dream was even more alive in his heart. Therefore, four years later, in 2002, Dwight released his debut album, Solid Rock. A man after God's own heart, Dwight realized that in order to be successful in life, Christ had to be his solid rock. Through the unwavering efforts and support of his African producer, Joe Mens, this album was able to infiltrate North America, Europe, West Africa, and the Caribbean, including the French West Indies.
In 2004, Dwight traveled to England, where he met with a producer of Jet Star (Gospel Times) record label, Tony Richard (Tony Rich). There he received professional training on the reggae music form. The birth of Solid Rock brought him many opportunities to perform in a number of nationwide events. Consequently, in 2004, he received an award for outstanding performance at the Gospel Fest USA 2004 in Massachusetts, New York, and New Jersey. In addition, in 2005, Dwight emerged the winner at the American Gospel Icon 2005 in Florida. Motivated to spread the word of God to the ends of the earth, Dwight sought to delve deeper into God’s word. As such, in 2004, he enrolled in the Eastern Bible Institute in Irvington, New Jersey. He graduated in June 2005 with the awards for academic excellence and perfect attendance. Since his graduation from Bible School, Dwight has preached the word throughout various parts of northern, eastern, and southern USA. Additionally, he has served as a Sunday school teacher, a musician, and a worship leader at his church.
Six years since the release of his debut album, Dwight is in the process of releasing his second album Perfect Peace, with all songs written and composed by him. The talented and determined Craig McDonald serves as producer of this promising album which is destined to rank among the top gospel hits. In the process of compiling this album, Dwight received assistance from popular gospel artist Raymond Green (Monty G). The album will be made available all over the Western hemisphere, touching lives and turning the hearts of men towards God. According to the young, aspiring artist, "I would love to see hearts melt towards God, diseases healed, and chains of bondage broken through my ministry in the album Perfect Peace.”

Ministry
While I am here on earth, I believe that my purpose is to declare to the world who JESUS is, and we are to surrender our lives totally over to Him, because He is the one who created us and not we ourselves. We should be thankful to Him and bless His name.
