ALBUM DESCRIPTION

Busting out of the gates with yet another musical stampede is "Riddim Invasion 5" from Lion of Judah Sounds. On this album, producers DJ Frost (Streetlight Mixtape) and Monty G (Until Life) deliver the fifth installment of their hugely popular "Riddim Invasion" series. Unlike VP Records' famous Riddim Driven albums that feature one hit riddim per album, Lion of Judah spares us of the monotony by giving us FIVE phat beats on one insane album. This compilation kicks off with the "Lively Riddim", a militant dancehall filler with plenty of energy from Monty G, Lynx and the rest of the crew. Next up is the "Friction Riddim" with hit tunes like "Dance 4 Ever" where Monty G screams out all of today's popular Gospel Reggae dance moves! The following Deejay riddim is ridden by Avalanchee, Mann-a war, Mighty One, Junior B and an extremely aggressive Monty G. After this comes the contemporary "Heightz Riddim". The percolating tablas on this dancehall cut are reminiscent of R Kelly's "Fiesta". This riddim kicks off with an interesting interpretation of "Lord I Lift Your Name" by Reubin (Heaven to Earth), then gets a boost when Dane Jah Rus, Prosessa, Mann-a war, Yankee and Ordinary have their stab at it. The final riddim is the "Kette Bounce", which kicks off with the stunning "Praise Him" by the Fiya spitting Lynx. After this Mighty One hits us with "My God Good" and Dane Ja Rus warns us of the "Love ah Money". Then from the other side of the pond comes the UK based Gamma holding his own on "Season". Packed full of Breakneck dancehall beats and five sweltering riddims ridden by top gospel dancehall artists such as Monty G, Mr. Lynx, Yankee, and Avalanchee, this album is all killer and no filler. Replete with a whopping twenty tracks courtesy of Frost and his crew, "Riddim Invasion 5" is sure to satisfy even the most diehard dancehall fan. Pick up your copy today. Review by Mark Mohr
