ALBUM DESCRIPTION
Ever since Christafari released "WordSound&Power," enthusiasts have been begging for the original recordings that the group used in thier "Selassie Say" interlude (WordSound&Power) and the powerful "Among the Dub," track (DubSound and Power). The samples in these tracks alone have been implemental in bringing hundreds of Rastas to a greater understanding of Christ, via the words of Haile Selassie.
This disc was originally created as an audio track for witnessing to rastas in the Gathering Church plant in Trinidad and Tobago. But again, the demand was so great that we decided to make these recordings available to the general public. Rest assured, this is a commanding witnessing tool, that through the power of the Holy Spirit has the potential of revolutionizing the heart of any rasta.
In these recordings you will hear Haile Selassie (also known as Rastafari) boldly declare that he is a sinful, struggling Christian that needs to read the Word just like the rest of us. Anyone can learn volumes from this goldy man's message of faith. But by far, the most amazing statement is the powerful response to the following statement by interviewer Bill Mc Neil: "there are millions of Christians throughout the world, your Imperial Majesty, who regard you as the reincarnation of Jesus Christ.
Selassie's answer: "I had heard of that idea. I also met certain Rastafarians. I told them clearly that 'I am a man,' that 'I am Mortal,' and that 'I would be replaced by the oncoming generation, and that they should never make a mistake in assuming or pretending that the human being is emanated from a deity.'"
This CD contains audio excerpts from "Bringing Christ to the Nations" a radio broadcast featuring Christmas in Ethiopia, 1968, where Dr. Oswald Hoffmann interviews His Imperial Majesty, Haile Selassie the First, Emperor of Ethiopia for the Lutheran Hour; and an excerpt from Project 67, "The Conquering Lion of Judah" A profile study of the Emperor. This interview took place in Canada in 1967 aboard the Royal train. Post-editing was done by Brenton Cherrie. While these two programs covered a wide variety of topics, for continuity purposes, only the clips that pertain to the biblical teachings of His Imperial Majesty were included.
NOTE: This disk comes packaged in a shrink-wrapped slim-line jewel case and does not contain any additional graphic inserts.
