ALBUM DESCRIPTION
"About a month ago I eagerly received the pre-release of Jah Servant and friends and upon first listen I was blown away! A few weeks later I can honestly say that this CD has not left my CD player for even a minute. It has become the soundtrack of my life and it's melodies are constantly floating through my head. It is by far the most ambitious gospel reggae release of the year and best of all; it's 100% pure roots and culture! For a reggae purist such as myself, that's a true blessing."

REVIEW:
Over the past few years Jah Servant has been honing his production and instrumental skills on multiple releases, including "Good Soil", "Unity Riddim Sessions Vol. 1" and "Riddim Sessions". On his newest release, "Jah Servant and Friends", this Trinidad based producer delivers his best album to date, full of strong roots reggae arrangements and instrumentation accompanied by a wide variety of reggae vocalists and dub effects.
"Comes A Time," track one on this wicked new release, is easily one of the album's biggest tunes. With a complex arrangement and thick texture, this instrumental track is sure to please every fan of roots and dub. On track two, "Live it Right," Drae compliments Jah Servant's riddim with an exceptional vocal delivery, strong melodic hooks, and a deep Christian message. Both musically and lyrically, this song inspires you to "...keep looking upward, keep moving forward!"
On "Were You There," Owen Uriah keeps the roots vibe flowing with an excellent performance over Jah Servants' tasty blues guitar licks and bubbling organs. With a running time over nine minutes, this song takes an extended trip into instrumental dub, superbly showcasing Jah Servant's production talents. For fans of classic rub-a-dub deejay style, Gitta Dan delivers with "His Words, His Love." Other stand out roots/dub songs on this CD include "Warriors" feat. Mission Epistle, "Follow No Bad Man" feat. Sons of Zion, and "Turn" feat. Tramaine.
Jah Servant and Friends is an excellent addition to our webstore, chock full of technical melodies, rich instrumentation and excellent dub production. If you're looking for a great new roots/dub album to round out your gospel reggae collection, then look no further! Just listen to the sound clips and I am sure that you will order your copy today!
