ALBUM DESCRIPTION

I am consistently overwhelmed by the constant wave of talent coming from Trinidad's gospel reggae circle. It started off with Ras Shorty I and the Love Circle (including Avion, Marge and Isaac Blackman) and continued with Sherwin Gardner, Mr. Danny, Koen Duncan, Gitta Dan and newcomers like Positive.

Originally hailing from the group Mission Epistle comes J Square with his debut solo project "Higher Ground" that continues to blaze a trail for the twin island republic of Trinidad and Tobago.

"Higher Ground" is a smashing 12 track CD packaged in a slim eco-friendly cardboard jacket. This CD is simply brilliant in its packaging and content. The riddims are percolating and is music is soul inspiring. J Square has a unique sing-jay style that is all his own.

There are some real gems on this CD. I like "Warriors," "Meditate," "Never Leave You Lonely," "Pressing On" and "Weary." If you're into conscious gospel reggae, buy this CD today--it's a gem!
