ALBUM DESCRIPTION

This is Messianic Roots Reggae from Jerusalem. Say Shalom to YESHUA and get ready to exalt His name, with "Yerubilee."  The band's name is pronounced "yah-ROO-beh-lee" and means "Jubilee in Yerusalem," and "the shooting forth of Jubilee."

Yerubilee's second CD continues their pioneer sound, this time with more originals than covers.  Vocals were recorded in Jerusalem, Paris, and Cape Town, sung in the usual Hebrew and English, with additional languages such as French, Swahili, and Arabic.  Recorded and mixed in Jerusalem, this music blends the flavors of Bob Marley and Paul Wilbur to create a recipe all their own.

Yerubilee's instrumentation combines traditional bass-drums-guitar-keyboards with jazzy horns, a super-sweet string section, and electric 10-string Davidic harp whose design is based upon archeological finds in Israel.

The album begins with the bouncy horn lines of "Do You See That Cloud," a prophetic song about revival.  "Haria FaRiha" features Emmanuel Murillo and Stevenson Simplice, with a Sephardic intro, lyrics in English, Hebrew, and Arabic, with a beat reminiscent of  the 80's hit "Our House."  Hebrew congregational tune "Ram v'Nisa HaMashiach" (High and Exalted is Messiah), a Hebrew duet, features Emily Schiavi and Teddy Chadwick in a relaxed tempo.  The CD's first French number, "Celui Qui Demeure (The One Who Abides)" from Psalm 91, could be called a reggae power ballad, with a sing-along heartfelt exaltation to YAHWEH.

Next we hear "Cry," a love song to YESHUA, in a minimalist production style, tracked on the Mount of Olives and mixed in central Jerusalem.  Following up is the full-band rootsy medley "Mambo Sawa Sawa" (Swahili and English: "Things Already Bettah) and "Arise and Shine" (English and Hebrew, Isaiah 60).  Afro-beat takes the floor in "Jeleve Mon Ãme (I Lift up My Soul)," a French/English anthem to YAHWEH/YESHUA. An extended remix of "Wait on the LORD" (feat. Emily Schiavi) rounds out the album, followed by a medley of devotional watch solos from the 24/7 prayer room: "To the Maker of the Universe,"  "I Could Sing of Your Love Forever," and "Awesome In This Place."

Yerubilee is a praise & worship band from Jerusalem with a new sound and a vision for lifting up the name of Yeshua all around the world.  Yerubilee is connected with the 24/7 house of prayer movement as well as the Messianic Body of Messiah in Israel.  Founder and producer Teddy Chadwick comes from a strong heritage of Disciples, and travels the nations extensively to bring music, teaching, & Bibles:  The Word of YAHWEH from Zion (Isaiah 2:3, Micah 4:2).

Pick up Yerubilee today.  You'll love praising Yeshua together with worshipers from Jerusalem.
