ALBUM DESCRIPTION

With this second installment of the Trinity Mix series, Trinity Mix 2.0 showcases some newcomers alongside the standard LOJ Sounds Crew. So what's coming out of the Lion of Judah Dublab this time? 17-Tracks of classic Dancehall Riddims and Hip Hop beats laced with solid lyrical flows.

Monty G brings an island twist to an old favorite church hymn, with 'Awesome God.' The pulsating bass-heavy riddim sets the backdrop while Monty sings his praises to God. 'God's Grace' introduces listeners to Poetic Harmony, providing R&B influenced vocals atop a dropping beat. The warm synth-string arrangements give the track a nice accent. Another newcomer, Double D brings the Southern Heat on 'Izze [Is He Real].' His lyrics bounce over a Third Coast Hip Hop beat challenging unbelievers to really seek the Truth. Kelda 'Sista K' Sweeting's smooth vocals melt atop an infectious dancehall beat on 'Total Surrender.' She even offers a few glimpses into her rougher toasting style. 'Since I Met Him' presents Kingson [of Urijah] rapping heartfelt words of encouragement over a slow R&B driven ballad. First appearing on Monty G's 'Voice of the Youth,' 'Hallelujah' gets remixed on this compilation as a 'Soca Mix,' however the outcome is more of a euro-dance vibe complete with computer voice alterations than it is a Soca mix.

Once again, LOJ Sounds brings another great compilation full of variety and diversity with Trinity Mix 2.0. Leaning more on Hip Hop and R&B influences, it will be interesting to see what will be coming out of the Trinity Mix series next. LOJ Sounds staple artists such as Monty G, Yankee, Sherwin Gardner, Mighty 1 and Poppa Willy keep the standard with each of their respective tracks, but it's the newcomers such as The Duke, Poetic Harmony, Sista K and Double D that bring a refreshing sound to this compilation. Overall there's bound to be something on this collection for Urban Music and Dancehall fans alike.
