Summer will never end if you put the sizzling tracks from Soca Baptism on constant rewind.

the trophy case, to go alongside other compilations such as Dancehall Baptism.

Fast-paced to put it mildly, the project showcases unstoppable beats of
traditional soca, ragga-scoa, calypso, jamoo, and rapso a generous
sampling of authentic Caribbean music for the mind, body, and spirit.
Contributing artists such as Jamba, Jadee, Temple Yard and one of the pioneers of Christian reggae, Christafari, Soca Baptism
is a serious hand-raiser, fostering the "grab somethin' and wave"
trend. As a whole, the project emphasizes the artistic diversity within
sacred soca music, transforming from a cool groove at first listen to a
real scorcher by the end.
Trinidad-based solo artist Sherwin Gardener contributes his talent with vocals comparable to that of dancehall sensation Sizzla.
Ruffled over the thriving drums and unbelievable bass lines are
wildly-concocted symphonies that precisely collide with accentuated and
militant snare stabs.
Tracks such "All Worship" featuring Christ Dymensions will have
the listener hooked on soca. This one braids a few drops of hip hop
flava into the spicy mix, creating an infectious piece.
Other noted tracks "Firefall" from Temple Yard as well as "Watchagonnado" by Shiselon, both of which create a vivid picture of islandic bliss.
Gardener continues to impress with his flying vocal colors on
cuts such as "Hotta Redda Fire", which actually describes the project in
a nutshell. His raspy voice electrifies the track and keeps the energy
at 100%.
The entire album is blazing with nomadic percussion heightened by wild culmination of creativity. Soca Baptism is a definite collector's item for those that appreciate the art of reggae with an edgier feel.
