ALBUM DESCRIPTION

Get ready to enter into Ryan Mark's "Tabernacle," an explosive follow up to his "Chosen Prodigy" debut. It's dancehall, roots, culture and a touch of worship. Released on his own imprint Chosen Records, this incredible project is truly soul inspiring.

Dancehall is predominant throughout this album and there are a trailer-load of hard hitting tracks that are sure to large-up any sound system. Hits like "God Have Me Back," "True We Say Jesus," "The Counselor," "Don't Judge Me." "The Way Me Love God" and the mid-tempo "Cry" are set to mash up any Bashment.

Percolating culture abounds on the lively "Who God Bless" with Wayne Marshall. Other featured artists include the effervescent Jason Mighty on "See Them a Come", a rootsy track with Jermaine Edwards and the bouncy "Take Me There" featuring Ryan's wife Dawnette 'Crissy D' Nevers. On the intimate "Weep" Mark sings of the heartbreaking loss of their first child just days after birth. This song is appropriately followed by the optimistic "Everything Happens for a Reason", a catchy culture tune.

On tracks like the meditative "Right With You" and the addictive title track "Tabernacle," Ryan tries his hand at singing and inspires us to draw closer to the Lord. In fact, this is a repeated theme throughout the entire project. Whether Ryan (formerly know as Prodigy), is addressing believers, hypocrites, his attackers or the lost, his message remains the same; draw close unto the Lord and enter HIS Tabernacle.

When asked about the difference between his first project and "Tabernacle," Mark replied; "It brings more maturity, experience and depth... It's very different. The first album was a lot of fun. This one is dealing with more serious issues. It is definitely more personal than the first." While things have changed significantly in Ryan's life since he recorded his solo debut and he has faced tremendous loss, one thing has remained constant; his undying love for Jesus. When asked about his faith, the down to earth artist said, "I am a real Jamaican youth who believes that Jesus Christ is the only way. I hope to bring hope to the hopeless and change the lives of people across the world with the gospel of Jesus Christ.

Ryan Mark is the younger brother of gospel reggae DJ Howard 'Goddy Goddy' Reynolds, but he is definitely not living in the shadow of his older sibling. He has charted his own course and on his second release he has further defined his own sound and given us an encouraging, yet challenging musical offering that I am sure you will love. There are a lot of gospel reggae albums available these days but you would be amiss to overlook this sonic gem. Order your copy today!
