ALBUM DESCRIPTIONBorn in Lagos, Nigeria Amarachi Austin began playing music at an early age. As a youth in Lagos, he studied percussion, drums and guitar, performing in various secular bands throughout the city. After becoming a Christian in his early teens, Amarachi began playing contemporary Christian and Gospel reggae music, releasing "He Died of a Broken Heart," his first solo Christian album on EMI records in 1977. This album as well as his sophmore release, "Not By Might," earned much success for Amarachi and quickly solidified his place as a true pioneer of contemporary Christian and gospel reggae music in Nigeria. Since relocating to the United States in the early 80's, Amarachi has continued to write, record, and produce gospel reggae and African music with albums such as "Keep On Singing," "Redemption Echoes," "Living Water," "Adonai Reggae Hymns," and "Amara Ya."

| ADONAI - Clearly In a Class by Itself | ||||||||||||||

| The class of this album is above anything else I have heard on GR.com. The music portrays a reverence for God which is completely abscent in many or the other recordings some of which should not be associated with the word Gospel. Brillant arrangements of some classic gospel songs mixing reggae with some African beats breathes some new life into timeless classics. I generally pick and choose songs I like to download from albums but in the case of Adonai I bought the whole album, it's that good! | ||||||||||||||
