ALBUM DESCRIPTION

KaryAnn Lawson (also known as Kary Diamond) was born in the beautiful island of Clarendon, Jamaica were she still values many memories of her family. KaryAnn is the youngest girl of her five siblings. KaryAnn’s parents noticed at a very tender age that God truly had call and purpose for her life. Her outstanding personality was always shining it could not be denied by those she came in contact with; everyone knew KaryAnn was a very special child and she would grow into something worth cherishing. She says “As far as I can remember I’ve always had a love for music”. At the age of five she would stand next to her father’s jukebox and sing and D.J. every song that was played she knew them all. At that time Michael Jackson, Kenny Rogers, and Lt. Stitchie were her favorite artist. As time went on her family decided to migrate to the sunny South Florida.
KaryAnn stated “when I first heard about America I thought the streets where going to be shiny but, upon my arrival that is not what I noticed at all”. As the family began to settle KaryAnn’s mother (Paulette) also known as the strength of the family gave her heart to Lord which in turn boost Kary’s zeal to serve God. She was a member of her local Pentecostal church in Miami Garden’s. Kary stated “back then our youth department was on fire”. KaryAnn sang on the choir and that’s where she was Baptist and filled with the Holy Spirit. Some years after KaryAnn’s family received news that changed their life forever. Although not from smoking Mrs. Paulette Lawson was diagnose with lung cancer. About three year later KaryAnn was about twelve years old and she lost her mother, her strength, her everything.
After the lost of her mother the family fell apart and KaryAnn ended up on the streets. This was a very hard time in my life Kary explained but, somehow through all the things I experience being on the streets God was always on my side, thought out this time Kary remained in Florida. Karyann was exposed to many different opportunities and she then went into the modeling industry. Modeling then opened doors where she started working with dance hall vibe magazine. As time progress Kary found herself selecting with rhythm force and mix96, this is where Kary discovered her true talent for D.J. (ing). Kary stated “I have always written music but at this time it became real to me”. It was also during this same time the name Diamond came about. Many may not believed it but the name Diamond came from the color of her hair at that time “platinum blonde”.
A turn of events took place that lead KaryAnn back to church where she rededicated her life back to the Lord. During this time she was dating her boyfriend (Taniel Brown) who she knew since she was eleven years old. Their love for each other grew and they decided to get marriage in December of 2000. They both share four beautiful children together Shadrach, David, Sarah, and Hannah –Kay Brown. With the support of her family and the leading of the Lord Mrs. KaryAnn Brown (Kary Diamond) began to write again. Many of her inspirations came from her life story and prayer and devotion. When Mrs. Diamond decided to go into the music industry she really wanted to make a difference thought grace of God. Kary’s vision is to see young people save and impact lives thought the words that the Lord has given to her. KaryAnn also stated that “She would love to see artist come together as we all represent the same cause”. A big part of her vision is to be able to give someone else the same opportunity that she is now sharing.

On November 6, 2010 KaryAnn launched her very first gospel album “No Pressure” This moment was one she would never forget, that God allowed everything to come together. Kary Diamond is a great woman of integrity that wants to see the work of the Lord accomplished. She has commented to dedicating her time to work hard and diligently to complete her God given assignment. Many may not know but, Kary is an ordained Evangelist with a great passion for souls. As she stands on the word of God, her desire is that none would be lost, but all would repent and come to know Jesus as their Lord and savior. Mrs. Diamond says “with God’s strength I’m looking forward to this journey”.
