ALBUM DESCRIPTION
In this "Priceless" album, Regina Wingate blends authentic roots reggae with soulful gospel vocals and a touch of dancehall. This released is a product of Good Newz Records, a label owned and operated by Andrew G. of "Blood Brotherz" fame. It features special guest appearances by Andrew G., Connie T., and Macho. Their rough raggamuffin vibe create a unique contrast with Regina's smooth vocals.
Stand out tracks on this album include the title track "Priceless" and the anthem "Zion," which is voiced over the infectious rhythm of Bob Marley's "One Drop." Regina also sings over other standards including the vintage classic "Tell of His Goodness," "Spirit" over the traditional "Sorry" version, and "Tell it to Jesus" adapting Buju Banton's "Love Sponge" that was initially recorded by Barrington Levy. Also, if you have heard the song "Crucified" from Christafari's "Soul Fire," then you may recognize the classic bass-line on "Never Let You Go."
But by far the most popular track on this album is the inspiring "I Want To Be More More (than an ordinary servant)." This contagious song, delivered on standard dancehall rhythm has become a modern classic throughout the Caribbean. You can rarely attend a gospel concert, church service or talent show in the West Indies without hearing some young talent sing this contemporary standard. Besides the catchy hook and strong biblical lyrics, the widespread popularity of "I Want To Be More More" is partly due to the inclusion of an instrumental version at the end of the CD. This wise move by the producer has every copy holder singing her tune.
In addition to nine strong reggae tracks on this album, you also get two instrumentals that you can sing over wether in your car or in front of your entire church congregation. Pick up a copy today and hear what everyone is singing about. Find out why Jamaican promoters continue to bring Regina down to Jamaica for concerts. Listen to this anointed voice "Tell Of His Goodness" and draw you "Deeper" into His presence. Purchase this CD today--it truly is "Priceless."
