2010 RELEASE SCHEDULE: The Year Ahead in Gospel Reggae
Jan. 14, 2010 - We're just two weeks into the New Year and things are already looking promising for the new decade in Gospel Reggae! There are a lot of new releases coming down the pipeline. I just sent out a blast to all the artists asking them what we can expect from them this year and this is what I have learned so far...
In January we have "Breakin' Out" from Hoszia Hinds, Zeela Mac's, "Highly Favoured" and Zamar's, "Life". We are also working on releasing Gallimore's solo debut, a new project by Ordinary and the "Sign Me UP" compilation in addition to some other albums that are currently in the works.
February is also shaping up nicely with new releases by Troy Anthony, (Next Generation) and Landlord, (Up Close and Personal). There are some new compilations in the works including Lion of Zion's "Soca Baptism 2," Sherwin Gardner's "Turn it Up Vol. 2" and Prodigal's "Yawd a Muzik". Other releases expected to drop by February are new albums by Brazilian group Roebote Zion, DJ Aaron and Stephan Peninsilyn (among others).
In March we are hoping to release Isaac Blackman's highly anticipated follow up to his smash hit "To The Ceiling", a new project by Emrand Henry and much more.
April should be slammed with new releases by Prodigal Son and Sherwin Gardner. Sherwin's upcoming release "Borderless" is already receiving a lot of hype online and Prodigal has been flooding the market with singles and videos for the last year. We are also expecting to release Christian Massive's, "Aliens", Manifest's, "His Life His Mic", Omalie Durand's, "No Apology" and "Sacrificial Love" by Rankin' Deezed.
In May we are expecting to release Christafari's second Spanish Album, Zaccheus', "My Light Shine Deluxe Edition" and J Square's, "One More Chance". By June we have been promised new releases from Edward Holland Jr. and Living Stone. In July and August we should have a host of hot summer releases including Zeela Mac's, "Jail Break" and "Lovd Ones" by Benjah & Dillavou.
Other hit releases expected to drop this year include new projects from Dano Rolle, Rootdown, Tony Rich, Nigel Lewis, Ziudade Real, Kujo Oti and other. Future compilations include a new riddim project by Lion of Judah Sounds, Reggae Redemption Songs III and Dancehall Baptism 3. Also be on the look out for Chariots of Fire's, "Beginning of Sorrows", DJ Grace's, "Get It Right" and Ordinary's, "Love and Relationships".
Producer Dr. Dizzle is putting the finishing touches on new projects from Mr. Lynx, Dhalia Ashley, St. Matthew and the "Call 2 Duty" compilation. Jah Servant is currently finishing up new projects by Mention and Sons of Zion. Overall, 2010 already looks like a very promising year!
