Introducing Jason Mighty

Aug. 5, 2006 - Jason Mighty is a wonderful singing sensation. With his unique sing jay and DJ vibe Jason has carved out a niche for himself in the fast rising and increasingly popular gospel-reggae market. Here Jason shares with FiwiVoice about growing up, how he got started in the music business, his personal life, and his plans for the future.
Background

Jason confesses that he only attended primary and all-age schools and grew up in a poor background. He mentions that his mother did not have it financially to help him further his education and she struggled to send him to primary and all-age, so he didn't make it to high school. Although he notes that he wasn't that bright either, whether or not he wanted to attend high school he couldn't. Now at 25 years old Jason says he knows that education is the key and plans to continue his studies.

HOW HE GOT STARTED

Jason started in the music business through Bless, popularly know as 'Prodigal Son'. Jason says, "He (Bless) really recognized the talent of singing". I used to DJ in the world before, not buss, but I used to do my little thing. Hang out at Price Right, me and my friends dem, and we a bun we weed and write lyrics, and I used to DJ
.
But when I got saved I just put down the DJ thing to come serve God, cause I never believed in nothing named DJing. In fact I never believe in DJing in the church. I was serving God and in the midst of that there was a group called M.I.C. and at the time Prodigy was in that group. Because Prodigy got saved about a year before me, and that time Prodigy was in that group and about 4 other guys. I saw them DJing but dem neva know seh mi have the talent an mi coulda do likkle DJ to.
